Marcus completed a Masters in Quantum Information Science through the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo in 2020. After stints as a quantum software engineer at Photonic Inc. and a hardware reseracher in the Quantum Science and Technology Lab at the University of British Columbia, he is now a Quantum Software Developer II at Xanadu. Simultaneously, he is pursuing a part-time PhD at the University of Portsmouth. He has been a recipient of the Marie Curie Award, NSERC CREATE Quantum Computing Program Scholarship and BC Graduate Scholarship among several other academic awards. He also enjoys writing hard sci-fi in his spare time and is a traditionally published science author!
